About Nolan Pitts
Using Contemporary Realism as his style, Nolan captures a detailed compositional likeness of his subject matter using picture reference, which is depicted in his portfolio. The high level of style, depth, lighting and design are all compiled in each conceptual painting. In addition to his portfolio he has begun a new series of works. They comprise of geometric shapes, whimsical designs, bold brush strokes and vividly bright colors added with textured surfaces. He coined the term (CUBISM OF COLOR) specifically after one of his favorite early 20th century-art movements in the industry. CUBISM, which was pioneered by Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque is considered the most influential art movement of that time. Nolan studied at the Art Institute of Atlanta with a degree In Visual Communications and Commercial Art. His medium of choice is oil on canvas. From past experience he's mindful that anything or anyone can become a muse of inspiration to trigger a concept. Aside from painting, Nolan is a professional barber working and assisting the daily operations of the family business, PITTS BARBER AND STYLE SHOP in Phenix City, Alabama. He is also married to his lovely wife Muriel, and they really enjoy the beach life.
Life Quote
"If you can create an image that is thought provoking and visually stunning for the human eye to behold, then you have completely utilized your muse of inspiration."
